TUSAL January

I joined the TUSAL this year, and almost forgot to post a picture for the first day. *Sigh*

I decided to make mine a floss orts only glass. I think I should switch to a bigger glass. Or maybe I'll look for a nicer one...

Let's see:
The green and pink threads are from Small Token
The blue from Legends of Dragons
The white is my attempt at whip stitching Baby Shamrock and failing.

Join here. There's nothing involved but collecting orts. (And frustrating yourself trying to find a pretty container.)

I had a large clear ornament last year. Maybe I'll do it again this year. I always forgot to take my pic on time.

This is a pretty cool idea. Very interesting to see how much you really end up with over a year.

I know just what you mean about finding a container, I had a heck of time finding a new one

Ah now, come on girls, you know you have a glass in that cupboard somewhere...or if not, Goodwill Stores and Antique Shops seem to be real popular with our TUSAL members for finding something cute. Heck, I'm using a plastic flour canister, so fancy is not an issue. Great start on this one, keep 'em coming.

I just picked an old canning jar. Nothing fancy! Looks great so far.

Nice progress on the orts! I forget to do this nearly every time. I'm a bad gal!

Hello! Nice start for January. Just use what you have until THE one says - here I am.

I use clear, glass Christmas ornaments. 'Course when I went to replenish my supply they didn't have the bigger size as used before... noticed someone uses them in different shapes - that's interesting, too.

You commented on my blog and I couldn't reply: re-New Year stash and self control. Ha ha - you couldn't see the snicker on my face when I was writing that!

I like the idea of a special glass.

LOL! I know what you mean! It took me a few months to find a container that I relatively liked ;o)
