Pale Colours

Another UFO RR piece :)

This is Arthenice's (not sure if she has a blog, I haven't managed to find it...) Angel of Spring by Lavender & Lace.

This was an interesting experience, since before I got it I was really looking forward to it. And then I got it and didn't want to stitch on it. Mostly because I had Apache Wedding Blessing arrive almost the same day and it was so much more colourful.

I struggled with the wings. Even though they have lovely venation from afar, close up it just looks all white, so I kept putting it aside. I eventually buckled down and once I got to the ribbon I didn't want to put it down!

Lesson learned: stitch the colours since I enjoy them a lot more!

Other lesson: The L&L angels are not for me. Way too pale. Admittedly only Grace and Hope were vaguely on the list, but since they're mostly white they're departing said list.

As it arrived:

This is really an interesting round robin. You end up working on things you might never consider stitching I guess. The angel is beautiful and I can see why the pink ribbon was so appealing to stitch.

You have made great progress on this one Blu! The one thing I like about round robins is that you get to stitch on things that you normally wouldn't choose yourself. You learn even more about your own likes and dislikes as well.

Great job on those wings, Blu! I know that wouldn't be my favorite thing to stitch either...You really made great progress--I'm sure the owner of this RR piece will be very pleased.

I think the chart would be a bit too difficult for me to stitch ..I am just a beginner :)

I really admire Your excellent work!!

It looks great. I guess that's one way to dwindle your wish list. ;-)

It's a beautiful piece but I'm not sure if I'd enjoy stitching on this type of RR. You've certainly done some beautiful stitching though!

Great progress, Blu! I find that I enjoy the RRs because I do get the exposure to different designers that I may not have tried before. I haven't stitched on a L&L yet. Arthenice's piece will be my first.

beautiful progress on this one. I quite like the look of the L&L angels but I'd never stitch them myself.

I thought at first it was abstract art. What an idea, to stitch abstract art pieces.

Your work is good.
