Sleepy Hollow
32 ct Thunderstorm
And the end of the backstitch means it's time to announce the winner from my 2010 contest to guess the hours of backstitch! It took me 28.5 hours to finish all the backstitch: 7 hours in 2010, 8.5 hours in 2011 and 13 hours this year. Which means the closest guess was Annie with 25 hours (the highest guess). Apparently folks were somewhat optimistic about how fast I could stitch. Of course, considering I promised to send the winnings out by Halloween 2011 I was clearly the delusional one LOL! Drop me a line Annie and we'll see about those winnings...

I have this as a UFO but you may have just got me interested again in pulling this one out - It is awesome :)
Great finish!
Very pretty design! I like it. I may have to get it for me.
Jen :)
It must feel good to have all of that backstitch done!! Congrats, it looks amazing!
What a surprise! That is a gorgeous finish, well-worth all that backstitching time.
I don't even remember making the guess! Thanks so much. I'll write to you.
I think Backstitching is sooooo painful. But in the end it adds that touch that makes the whole piece come together. I have two charts in my stash that are like this and I'm delaying on starting them because I know the backstitching is insane.... BUT I WILL DO THEM! *repeats mantra*
really pretty.
Wow.
Showed DH and he is impressed. :)
Its one of his favourite films.
Really a gorgeous finish!! And congrats to Annie :) That is a heck of a lot of backstitching, but it really paid off!
Fabulous finish! Backstitch can be such a pain, but it adds so much to a piece that it ends up being worth it.
It looks amazing!
I guess the beading will take 6 hours. Let me know in 2014 if I was right LOL.
