I'm a sucker for traditional stories of knights in shining armour and pointy eared elves.
The whole package is just a wonderful escape from reality.
I did something a bit different with this design: I tried to stitch colour by colour. (Tried, since I'd occasionally miss a few stitches and had to go back.) But on the whole I was rather successful. So enjoy the show about adding one colour can sometimes make a big difference and sometimes can barely be visible.

The backstitching always adds so much...good job!
I came up very beautifully! I like the color preview :)
All that backstitching really brings things to life doesn't it? Just the same, I'm glad it was you doing it and not me!
A very cool piece
What a beautiful piece. I have never seen this pattern before.
Backstitching does make the design pop. But you know, I like it both ways!
Wow, it's amazing!! :)
Wow! That was quick! Congrats on your finish :o) I love how you did the slide show with the introduction of different colors.
I am amazed at how fast it took you!! Nice. I love those books too.
I am a huge fan of fantasy as well so I am loving this piece. The backstitch looks wonderful!
You must have worked all weekend to get all that backstitching finished up! It really adds so much to the finish and what an interesting approach to the stitching process :)
Great job, Blu!!
Wow you backstitched pretty quickly! I love the finished piece but I really like your slide show of the progress.
My congratulation with finish! this is good work!!!))) I love it!
wow...awesome...the only thing that motivates me to do backstitch is that it gives life to the pattern...lovely work
Congratulations on your finish. I too like it both ways.
Back stitch is a pain, but boy it does make a difference, I have never seen a pattern like this, I love this pstitching.

Fantastic finish!
Wow, the slide show is really fun to watch! :D Great finish. I do think I like some of the squares more before backstitching; There are good points to with and w/o
What a huge different the backstitching made. It's beautiful, Blu!!!!! I have a tendency to stitch 1 color at a time too... hate switching threads. :)
Looks amazing finished!
I love reading fantasy too :) Thanks so much for the slideshow! I've never seen someone stitch a work like that, adding one colour at a time, and it's *very* neat and inspirational to watch! Your stitching is wonderful, and so is your backstitching! Beautiful finish!
I love it! So much that I'm thinking of making it too! Thanks for sharing this great finish!
