Out of Season

Last night I took two hours to finish off Celtic Spring.

I left out the border and letters. I also decided to do the scrollwork in her dress in purple since I think the gold just fades right into the light purple. Admittedly I may have picked a too-dark purple...

I love how shiny her cloak edge is!

What else? My now almost habitual switching of beads. Charted she has 2 purples and 2 golds; I just used once each. And I went with all purple beads in the dress and all gold in the cloak. I think the photos make the purple stand out, but in actuality they blend right in.

Just gorgeous. I loved stitching this one, and all of the Celtic ladies when I did them a long, long time ago.

She looks beautiful, Blu!!! Congratulations on the finish!!! I actually love the dark purple scroll work in her dress! I think it just pops! I have stitched her as well, and I can say you are right, the gold kinda fades away in the purples. But yours looks amazing!!

I love your Celtic spring, it's really beautiful. I think the changes you've made are great, also I think you've done good in just stitching the lady, she's so pretty all by herself.
Thank you for all the close up pics too, it's so good to be able to see all the details.

She's gorgeous, what a great finish. I think the purple scroll work looks great, not too dark at all. Another one that's on my never ending 'to-do' list!

So lovely Blu. You really have gorgeous stitching. I can't for the life of me lie my stitches so they don't twist. I do all the untwisting, etc, but maybe it's just my luck. I love all the beading in this design!!

The purple scroll work looks great. I'm thinking "that would make a nice tattoo!"

I've stitched Celtic Noel (twice) but none of the others.
