Egyptian Sampler

My big start for this year is TWDesignworks' Egyptian Sampler. I've wanted to stitch this for a long time but kept putting it off. But this year is THE year!

Egyptian Sampler
28 ct Antique White Monaco

I usually stitch all the cross stitches and wait until the end before the backstitch but I'm not going to be doing that for this. It works for less complicated designs and smaller TWs but this is too massive. I also plan on heading out towards the edge so that I can get to the border. The plan is to stitch bits of the border and the main design alternatively instead of avoiding the border and then having to tackle it at the end.

  3. Yay! Good for you!

I've had mine all stitched except for the border for years. I should get back to it... maybe next year. ;)

  7. Super Start!!! I can remember when Egyptian Sampler first came out. I bought the kit and promised myself I'd start it. I even bought replacement fabric cuz I didn't like what was in the kit. Well time marched on and I never did start it and it ended up in my kit file cabinet with the rest of my TW collection.

  9. I has this pattern as well (thinking to stitch it for my sister who loves all things Egyptian). Good idea to back-stitch as you go. It worked great for my Peacock Tapestry
